For years "da Admiral" reported, hinted, suggested and informed about all virtues of Shanghai nightlife. Finally, this App is the only one the Shanghailander will need today. Brilliant and a big Thanx to the software team putting the App together!

Endlich das langerwartete update !...you need to run 3.2 though to get it to work. I run 3.1.3 and am shut outof this useful little tool. BAD programming I say. Save the money

the restaurant/venue addresses for taxis feature is brilliant!

I was looking forward to actually being able to use this app again as it was really dated for over two years... Now what is really annoying about it is having to wait for the new items or daily events to load before I can search in the directory. Hope that is fixed soon

Considering that in china many websites are so slow or forbidden, this app really helps you in finding places in shanghai! Well done!

The app works fine on my phone and its super useful when you are in need of an address of venues or landmarks in Shanghai.

Some bad moments

This app use to be awesome ... But people @ SmartShanghai seems to be lazy ... It just Never been updated ! Many venue closed, other opened, this gives you a good vision of shanghai 2 years ago ... Update and this app will really be worth its price !!

SmartShanghai website is great! What disappointment after discovering this 3.59€ app in this current version. Hope the team will update it soon. Currently its: - full of bugs, crashes very often on my iPhone 4S, - misses a lot of information which we can find in the website, - even not made according to retina display specs (all the icons and pics are pixelated).

The App is too expensive and not a universal app. Im not going to pay twice.

For that price, it would be the least to keep it updated. Venues appear that are already closed, addresses/phone numbers are not correct, some places are not listed at all even if they are quite popular.

Good attempt at putting together an English pocket guide to Shanghai but I just wish the restaurant database was more complete and up to date. I noticed several listings for places that have been closed for a year or more, and some of my favorite venues that are not listed at all. Looking forward to future updates.

No reviews posted for restaurants; no night entertainment posted; no art-stage posted; Fun Picks is a no-show; no map connection to show location of restaurant; WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!! I just found Flavours Shanghai. It is FREE and shows photos, maps, phone numbers. Go figure!
